Web Developper (part-time, Montreal, Canada or remote)

Job description

Reflexity is looking for a part-time web developper to maintain and enhance some of its own and clients’ web sites. Working hours are very flexible and average 8-12 hours/week. Possibility to work full-time during summer.

Reports to

Account Team Leader & VP Operations

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Work as a member of a small team to maintain, enhance, test and launch new pages and sites.
  • Add (and sometimes create) scripts, tags and codes (in HTML, Java and PHP) to web pages in order to optimize their marketing efficiency.
  • Make sure the scripts are working properly and pages/sites are tracked correctly with the company analytics.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience with Java scripts, PHP scripts and HTML.
  • Experience with Java tags from Adwords Website Optimizer a plus.
  • Experience of application servers: Linux Fedora, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss a plus.
  • Ability to work occasionally under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and anticipate interactions between scripts and backend tracking.
  • Capacity to do your own Quality Assurance on scripts and pages.
  • Capacity to self organize and prioritize.

Assets

  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Basic experience with MySQL.
  • Basic knowledge of CSS a plus.
  • Knowledge of WordPress a plus too.
